Portfolio Manager/ Qualified Accountant

The role:
- Manage a portfolio of clients who are provided accounting, tax and VAT services by the accounting firm’s teams
- Deliver excellent client service level agreements, always with a goal to gain a high client satisfaction score
- Plan team workload to reduce turnaround time for jobs and ensure clients billed promptly
- Keep up-to-date with: technical updates, changes in accounting and tax regulations, the current (and proposed future state) of cloud accounting platforms, financial software, cloud based financial and business apps
- Solid knowledge of all firm offerings and when clients may need these services
- Generate referrals and identify opportunities to upsell extra services to existing clients
What you bring to the table:
- ACCA or ACA qualification
- CTA qualified would be a bonus
- 3+ years of proven experience working in an accountancy practice; ideally client-facing with some advisory experience
- Solid knowledge of personal and corporate tax
- Delivery of work to a high technical standard
- Effective problem-solving, efficient working style
- Responsive and customer-service-oriented manner
- Understanding of how to mitigate risk when giving specialist tax advice
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in accountancy regulations and technology
